Dr. Stephanie Chan
Dr. Stephanie Chan is a Double Board-Certified Child/Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist that specializes in providing evidence-based medication management, different therapy modalities (CBT, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, strength-based), or a combination of both – in treating a wide range of mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. She has special interests in transitional age/college youth, childhood depression, perinatal mental health, and first-break psychosis. She received her MD from St. George’s University, with completion of Adult Psychiatry Residency at USC, and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Harbor-UCLA. She was the medical director for Twin Town Treatment Centers in Torrance from 2016-2017, providing supervision for outpatient substance abuse treatment.
Hiroko Makiyama, LCSW
Hiroko Makiyama is the SUD Services Manager with 14 years of experience in the addiction field working with youth and adults. Hiroko joined KYCC after serving 9 years as a Prevention Director at Asian American Drug Abuse Program, Inc. where she managed the youth prevention and outpatient treatment programs. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Welfare from UCLA.
