Graffiti Removal
The L.A. City Council doubled the reward to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of vandals, including taggers, on Jan. 13.
“Graffiti ‘reduces a neighborhood’s sense of community, a neighborhood’s sense that they are safe in their community, and that tends to lead to an increase in other types of crime,’” said Councilman Paul Kerkorian, who advocated the reward increase.
KYCC applauds this effort to keep our community clean and safe. We remove graffiti seven days a week throughout Koreatown and surrounding neighborhoods. Each month, KYCC responds to over 1,700 graffiti removal requests and removes over 150,000 sq. ft. of graffiti. KYCC upholds “zero tolerance” standards for graffiti.
In 2014, KYCC removed 4,000,000 square feet of graffiti from Los Angeles streets and property.
Our services are provided free of charge for Koreatown residents and business owners through our partnership with the City of Los Angeles, Office of Community Beautification. For more info, email cleanup@kyccla.org.
