Best Start Metro LA (BSMLA) is a community based initiative that brings together parents, non-profit and government agencies, businesses and other community leaders to work as partners in transforming neighborhoods into places where young children can grow up safe, happy and healthy.

A project of Best Start Metro LA, Building Stronger Families, aims to promote a Culture of Respect by identifying, understanding, and practicing values that impact positive family and community interactions. This year, Best Start Metro LA parent leaders are planning their 2nd Annual Culture of Respect Celebration to bring awareness, resources, and education about the issue of violence and its negative impact on families and communities. Families will have the opportunity to participate in activities and learn together during this free community event.
