As part of KYCC’s efforts to promote our Women’s Business Center, we held a Small Business Assistance workshop on May 21 to encourage and support women entrepreneurs in Koreatown. Twenty-two women entrepreneurs filled the conference room for the “From Babysitters to Day Care Ownership” workshop. Lisa Kim, former KYCC Kids Town Director and current Special Events Coordinator, spoke about licensing, quality of care, and curriculum development.

KYCC’s Small Business Development program offers workshops and one-on-one counseling for Korean American and Koreatown businesses. As part of the Asian Pacific Islander Small Business Program (www.apisbp.org), KYCC is funded by the Small Business Administration to provide expert guidance and advice on how to start, manage and grow your own business.

Our upcoming workshop:

Money Smart for Small Businesses, July 11 and July 18
