KYCC Hosts 19th Annual FORE Children and Families Golf Classic

On April 16, KYCC hosted its Annual FORE Children and Families Golf Classic at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine, CA.

For the past 19 years, KYCC has hosted a friendly day of competition and celebration for 36 teams of four players to compete in a fun 18-hole scramble format golf tournament. Upon their arrival at Strawberry Farms, players were greeted by KYCC staff and given goodie bags filled with gifts. Before teeing off, players had the opportunity to hit practice shots on the driving range, purchase raffle tickets for exciting prizes, eat delicious boxed lunches from WaBa Grill, and enjoy beverages from Stumptown Coffee and Hankook Tea.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and this year’s Golf Tournament featured a spotlight on KYCC’s programs and services that work to build safer, stronger communities for all children. Through art created by children at our Kids Town Preschool and students in our Youth Services programs, tournament signage, and blue pinwheels displayed at our Awards Dinner, this year’s tournament provided an opportunity to shine a light on these important programs and the impact they have on children and families.

Following an afternoon of golf, players and guests returned to Strawberry Farms’ Big Red Barn for a delicious dinner, tournament prizes, raffle, and auction, to conclude the event.
