KYCC Youth Services Wraps Up Kids Summer Camp Season

KYCC Youth Services celebrated the end of its Kids Summer Camp program with tremendous success, bringing joy and learning to children from various backgrounds. This year’s camp offered a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, field trips, beach visits, and educational workshops, ensuring that every child had something to look forward to each day.

This year’s Summer Camp hosted 74 students from all grade levels, from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade.

The students had a great time participating in various activities such as making ice cream, attending under the sea workshops, engaging in arts and crafts, and taking part in improv workshops as part of our program.

The highlight of our summer program were undoubtedly the engaging field trips that the students thoroughly enjoyed. The elementary school students went on trips to Alondra Splash Pad, The Discovery Cube, Malibu Lagoon, and The Aquarium of the Pacific.

Additionally, interactive workshops and promoting healthy habits were key components of our summer activities. The students had the opportunity to work with Healthy Habits, a program associated with Cedars-Sinai that organizes community health workshops, teaching the students how to prepare tasty and healthy food recipes.

Special thank you to all of our students, staff, and volunteers who made this summer camp a memorable one!
