On April 15th, 2022, nine USC student volunteers from USC’s Volunteer Center joined KYCC‘s Environmental Services to remove graffiti in the Pico Union area. USC volunteers worked with KYCC crews to respond to graffiti removal requests in the neighborhood including removing graffiti in residential areas, alleyways, and businesses across five blocks within the area.

KYCC is dedicated to making our community safe and clean. Last year alone, KYCC responded to 33,000 graffiti removal requests and removed 1.4 million square feet of graffiti. These services are provided free of charge for Koreatown residents and business owners through our partnership with the City of Los Angeles, Office of Community Beautification.

Our beautification and graffiti removal teams work seven days a week, starting each day at 6:00 a.m. The public can request cleanup and graffiti removal requests by calling 311 or through the MYLA311 app.

Thank you to the amazing student volunteers from USC’s Volunteer Center who made contributions to increasing the sense of community and safety in Koreatown. KYCC is proud to lead and organize community events that generate a positive impact on the community we serve.
