On Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, KYCC hosted its first Fall Meet and Greet at the Sun Bay Senior Club in Koreatown. Current KYCC Board of Directors, former KYCC boardmembers, Honorary Council members, KYCC staff and friends of KYCC enjoyed a warm reception with food and wine. Sixty guests enjoyed a catered dinner and an opportunity to meet and mingle with friends in the main lounge and dining hall of Sun Bay.

Cooke Sunoo, founding member of KYCC, spoke briefly on the history of KYCC and the evolution of our agency from the Korean Youth Center to the Koreatown Youth and Community Center. He explained that as the demographics of Koreatown began to change, so did the mission of the agency. KYCC began incorporating programs for the Latinx population and so began the beginnings of our endeavor to become a truly multiethnic organization in both our staff and the clients whom we serve.

President of the Board of Directors, Jong Limb, presented exciting new projects on the horizon for KYCC and Steve Kang, Director of External Affairs, gave a short introduction to KYCC’s newest social enterprise Vintage Soul.
