Our employees’ dedication and enthusiasm allow KYCC to provide quality services to the Koreatown community. We recognized four outstanding individuals who demonstrated a strong commitment to the advancement of our mission at the Annual KYCC Holiday Party on December 13, 2013.

Allex Pak has been with us for a year and she has proven herself to be a valuable asset to the Clinical Services Unit. She meets and often surpasses her work duties. Allex has a special way of engaging her families and has impacted their lives in a positive way. She has helped families put the puzzle pieces together in order to make sense of the challenges they face. In her words, “I enjoy being an investigator to identify the source of the issues!”

Tommy Rendon always has a big smile, great attitude, and if you need some asphalt broke up or a water line fixed, he’s your man. Tommy is a vital part of the Environmental Services team with his expert knowledge of irrigation, landscape maintenance, and tree planting. The unit can confidently branch out and provide different services to the Koreatown community with professional staff like Tommy leading the way.

Edith Bedolla has been a vital addition to the Prevention Education Unit. Her flexibility, curiosity and ability to put others first have all helped in shaping our prevention campaign for youth and parents. She has been essential in sustaining our prevention education groups and developing a parent council that has worked collaboratively with other KYCC programs and community partners. Often going beyond her job duties, she has proven to be a great leader in assuming the responsibility of preceptor to our social work intern. Edith is truly a wonderful addition to the KYCC family.
