For the 4th year, KYCC has partnered with the Los Angeles Clippers to host Korean Heritage Night on January 13, 2023 at Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles. The game against the Denver Nuggets celebrated Korean Heritage Night in honor of our Korean American community in Los Angeles and Korean American Day.

KYCC staff dressed in beautiful hanboks, a traditional Korean dress, to greet visitors to the game, who were all gifted a limited edition hat and pin designed by Korelimited.

Throughout the evening, students from KYCC’s Youth Services and Prevention Education programs were able to high-five players in the fan tunnel and participate in the living flag experience during the National Anthem. Volunteers from KYCC’s Free Tax Prep LA VITA program were also honored during the game as honorary Community Heroes for all of the hours they’ve donated to assist low income families file their taxes for free. The game also featured a special halftime performance by Korean Soul.

“KYCC was honored to be the nonprofit organization of the night at the LA Clipper’s Korean Heritage Night game,” said Carolyn Kwak, KYCC Development Associate. “Along with highlighting the work we do, we were able to share very special experiences with our family clients on the court.”

A huge thank you to the Los Angeles Clippers for inviting KYCC to celebrate this special evening!
