KYCC would like to thank our many volunteers from the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. VITA volunteers are our cornerstones to providing thousands of low-income residents with accurate tax preparation and claiming tax credits.

VITA volunteers train an average of 40 to 60 hours, and then must pass IRS certification prior to volunteering. While the training is rigorous, many volunteers are encouraged to complete certification to help families in need, while learning a new skill.

To learn how you can volunteer next tax season, please contact Audrey Casillas, Economic Development Specialist, at acasillas@kyccla.org or visit www.freetaxprepla.com.
