On Thurs., May 21, KYCC’s Prevention Education will host a town hall meeting on the impact of legalizing recreational marijuana.

The meeting will take an in-depth look at the state of Colorado to discuss how marijuana legalization has affected youth, crime rates, and the number of marijuana dispensaries in the state. The town hall will also look at the intent and challenges of Proposition D, which will ban medical marijuana dispensaries and collectives in the City of Los Angeles.

Prevention Education will provide information that will help community members take an active role in creating safe and healthy neighborhoods. As marijuana legalization in California becomes a possibility, KYCC is committed to connecting the community with necessary resources and a space to voice concerns.
