Our Kids Town preschool has finished their 2-year renovation of the exterior facade, interior lobby and playground turf. The new exterior front of the school now has a bright green mural and a new extruded aluminum sign that reads “Kids Town.” The renovation was started in 2019 and finished in September of 2021, just in time to welcome new students for the fall school year.

All of the interior classroom doors were repainted in bright green colors to match the exterior of the building. Additionally, all of the tiles on the entry facade were moved to the lower wall on the south side of the parking lot to streamline the design of the front exterior.

A sleek, wooden storage unit was installed on the right side of the lobby, and new furniture such as a couch and side table were brought in to freshen up the space. A new bulletin board for postings and a designated donor wall with a beautifully painted vinyl graphic was installed in the lobby.

The Kids Town exterior playground in the back also had new synthetic turf installed in 2019 to create a fun, engaging and safe play area for all of our preschool students.

“The community and students are so excited about the finished product. We love the new look of the school, but more importantly, we hope it makes our students, staff and families feel welcome and excited to learn at Kids Town,” says Jin Rhee, Kids Town director.

Kids Town opened its doors in 2004 to provide a quality early childhood education and to meet the needs of working families in Koreatown.
