Community Beautification Day

On Sat. March 28, KYCC’s Prevention Education and Environmental Services held a Community Beautification Day in collaboration with the Youth Policy Institute, LAPD Olympic Station, and the Olympic Neighborhood Watch.

Over 100 participants of all ages joined in the effort to improve their community conditions by collecting garbage and bulky items, removing graffiti, and planting and maintaining street trees. With these efforts, community members raised awareness about providing a healthy and safe environment for all families.

The event could not have been a success without the support from Alianza Magnolia, Bravo CSF, Leo Politi Neighborhood Association, Christian Fraternity of California, YPI’s GRYD, and KYCC’s YDAPP. We would like to thank Starbucks and McDonalds for their generous food donations!
