Community Cleanup 2019
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for KYCC’s 5th Annual Community Cleanup! Our annual beautification event is one way in which we give back to the community – by beautifying a chosen neighborhood block by block with a team of hundreds of volunteers. Last year we removed nearly 250 bags of trash weighing over 4,000 pounds! With your help we hope to match or exceed last year’s numbers.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST REGISTER ONLINE TO SECURE THEIR PLACE.
A free breakfast, t-shirt, and lunch is provided for all volunteers.
Date: Saturday, September 21, 2019
Schedule: Registration is between 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. and the event ends at 1:30 p.m.
Location: LA First Church of the Nazarene (close to 3rd St./Vermont)
Address: 3401 W. 3rd Street Los Angeles, CA 90020
Parking: A limited number of designated parking spaces at the Vons parking lot next to LA First Church of the Nazarene is available, as well as street parking. Please only park in designated clean up event spots in the Vons lot as all other cars will be towed. We strongly urge attendees to use public transportation, carpool, or ride sharing.
What to bring: Please be sure to wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops), sunscreen and clothing appropriate for outside work. Water is provided but we encourage everyone to bring a reusable water bottle.
If you need verification of community service, please be sure to bring your form and have it signed upon completion of the event at our registration table.
