KYCC\u2019s Clinical Services<\/a>, funded by the API PnA and PFF<\/a>, hosted Family Night on May 9, 2019. For the second year in a row, KYCC families enjoyed a fun night of games, arts and craft activities, and a free family portrait session with a professional photographer.<\/p>\n

PnA\u2014Prevention and Aftercare Services\u2014is available to families with minors with the goal of strengthening families. PFF\u2014Partnerships For Families\u2014is a child abuse prevention program designed to address the needs of pregnant women coping with substance abuse, mental illness or domestic violence as well as DCFS-referred families with children five years of age or younger who are at risk of maltreatment in Los Angeles County.<\/p>\n

PnA and PFF staff organized fun activities, food and drinks for the nine families who attended this year\u2019s Family Night. Children enjoyed board games and craft activities, and parents enjoyed a relaxing night of mingling, music and food. Most of all, families were truly grateful to receive free, professional family portraits from the Las Fotos Project<\/a>. KYCC has partnered with the Las Fotos Project for many years and their program has professional photographers who train and mentor high school girls. Many of our families expressed a lack of financial resources and time, and appreciated the opportunity to capture priceless family memories free of cost at this event.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were thrilled to see children make new friends, parents get to know each other, and families enjoy photo sessions with a professional photographer. Some families expressed that this event was the first chance they had to take a family portrait. The night was a great success.\u201d said Nedette Cuerno, PnA Coordinator.<\/p>\n

KYCC has provided mental health services to the Koreatown community since its inception in 1975. Our goal is to provide a broad continuum of high quality and culturally relevant clinical services for low-income children, youth and their families. Many of our clients are unserved or underserved from a lack of culturally or linguistically relevant services.<\/p>\n

Our team of clinicians and case managers provide individual, group and family therapy in outpatient, school-based and in-home settings. All clinical services are available in English, Korean, and Spanish.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
