Given the\u00a0directives by federal, state, county and city officials, KYCC will be postponing some upcoming events and programming to protect the health and well-being of our children, clients, volunteers, staff and families.\u00a0<\/p>\n
We are dedicated\u00a0to providing the programs that can stay open, because we are keenly aware that the population who will be the hardest hit by this crisis is the one that can least afford it.<\/p>\n

- KYCC has always supported our working parents. With the indefinite\u00a0Los Angeles Unified School District closures<\/a>, we know that some students need a safe space while their parents are on the job.\u00a0<\/li>\n
- Eighty percent of the 500,000 students in the district rely on the schools for their meals. We want to guide our community to such\u00a0resources<\/a>, so they are not left behind.<\/li>\n
- Elders over 65 are being mandated to isolate<\/a>. We are working with our partners and volunteer corps to improvise ways to help bring\u00a0food and supplies to our older population.\u00a0<\/li>\n
- Our small businesses were deeply impacted by this crisis early on. We are looking at\u00a0ways to help our neighborhood mom-and-pop shops and restaurants<\/a>, as they comprise the heart and soul of our community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
This is an extremely fluid and fast-evolving crisis, and we will continue to follow the recommendations of our local, county, state and federal governments.\u00a0<\/p>\n
