KYCC has been awarded a generous $75,000 grant from the S. Mark Taper Foundation to support programs for limited-income youth and families in Koreatown.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The funding provided by the Foundation will be utilized for KYCC\u2019s programs and services that support the needs of children and families in our immediate community. These funds will also aid in the expansion of KYCC\u2019s administrative and development staff, as well as provide support for KYCC\u2019s upcoming permanent affordable housing projects for formerly homeless individuals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In addition to continuing existing services, KYCC has launched new services to address the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic \u2013 some of these services include delivering 12,000 hot meals and groceries to vulnerable seniors, as well as providing assistance in accessing public benefits such as unemployment insurance, SBA loans, and utility assistance.<\/p>\n
