On August 23, 2024, KYCC\u2019s Small Business Program hosted the LA Global Street Festiva to celebrate the small businesses in our community and strengthen our bonds as neighbors and entrepreneurs. The event aimed to support our vendors and the community by providing a space for joy, entertainment, and learning about the various free business resources available.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Providing a platform for KYCC\u2019s Small Business clients to promote and sell their products and services, the event featured a diverse range of vendors offering flowers, plants, clothing, jewelry, perfumes, as well as Korean, American, and Latin American food items and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

15 businesses were present at the event, including three Korean and twelve Hispanic vendors. In addition, twelve organizations were also present offering free resources. The event also featured a back to school backpack distribution sponsored by United Way and a complimentary food distribution courtesy of Pico Union Project.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The event drew over 300 attendees, with 150 individuals exploring at least 8 of the resources offered.<\/span> Local entertainment included the participation of the clown Chirrin Kintin, Mariachi Lucero de Mexico and Hiza Yoo Korean Dance Institute with a Fan Dance and \u201cY\u201d Nanta.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each local purchase and investment in businesses within our region plays a vital role in boosting our economy. By backing our local businesses, we are sowing seeds for the future, generating employment, encouraging innovation, and safeguarding the unique character of our community. Supporting our entrepreneurs is key as they bring forth new prospects and enhance local economic growth. Collaboration among organizations enables us to pool resources and expertise, leading to more impactful enhancements in our community’s financial well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s continue collaborating and supporting each other to build a prosperous economic future for the neighborhood.
