As part of the “Welcome to Western” campaign, KYCC invites you to help plant trees along Western Avenue—one of 15 corridors that are part of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Great Streets Initiative. “Welcome to Western” is a yearlong project that has been engaging community members, from residents to business owners, to design a more vibrant Western Avenue. 

• Date: Sat., Feb. 3, 2018
• Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m
• Location: Hankook Supermarket Parking Lot / 124 N. Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90004
• Make sure to bring close-toed shoes, a reusable water bottle and sunscreen
• Please arrive early to find parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Volunteers will NOT be allowed to park at HK Supermarket.

We will hold a kickoff event to plant our first 20 trees! Come learn about some of the exciting new designs coming to the neighborhood.
