Koreatown Youth and Community Center hosts a Prescription Drug Take Back event in conjunction with the biannual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day for community members to drop off unused or expired medication for safe disposal. Along with providing drop-off boxes for prescription medication, activities will include distribution of educational pamphlets promoting safe prescription medication practices, an at-home disposal activity, a button-making station, a photo booth, games, free pill boxes, and free lunch and refreshments. This event is open to the community! Middle school and high school students can also receive community service hours for volunteering at the event.
