KYCC’s parent lead Building Stronger Families project is hosting its First Culture of Respect Celebration on Saturday July 30, 2016 9am-2pm at the California Science Center.

 The purpose of this event is to raises awareness around the impact of violence on families in Metro LA. Additionally, Best Start Metro LA parents are promoting the pledge towards a Culture of Respect. This pledge was created by parents as an engagement strategy to address the issue of violence with the community at large. The pledge promotes the values of Respect, Positive Raising of Children, and Equality for all (see attachment)

 Event workshops include: Effects of Domestic Violence, Healthy Communication, and Promoting Positive Cultural Values

*Translation will be provided in Spanish, English, and Korean

*breakfast and lunch provided

 Please distribute attached flyer with registration form to clients. Our goal is to have 450 adults and 550 children. Registration will remain open until all spaces are filled.
