Staff volunteered their time before their workday started to pick up trash in the community around the main administrative building in Koreatown.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kyccla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/IMG_0177.jpg\" alt=\"national cleanup day\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kyccla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/IMG_0177.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.kyccla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/IMG_0177-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.kyccla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/IMG_0177-150x113.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.kyccla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/IMG_0177-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is amazing to see KYCC staff care so much about their community that in light of COVID-19 they are continuing to show up and keeping their community safe and clean. By doing these cleanups, we are not only beautifying our community but making sure that this litter doesn\u2019t end up in our waterways, green spaces, and the larger L.A. community\u201d said Margarita Munoz, KYCC Environmental Services Outreach and Project Specialist.<\/p>\n<p>Staff volunteers covered 6 blocks and filled 31 bags of trash. Some of the common items found were sanitizer wipes and masks, along with cigarette butts, wrappers and single-use plastics.
