On Oct. 24, KYCC’s Environmental Services<\/a> hosted their first Volunteer Team Lead training with Hwarang Youth Foundation \u2014 a volunteer organization based in Koreatown dedicated to empowering volunteers to serve their community. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the last few months, we have been able to re-connect with our volunteers through our community events. We welcomed Hwarang Youth Foundation on Oct. 24, 2020, for our first volunteer tree planting event of the season,\u00bb said Margarita Mu\u00f1oz, KYCC Environmental Services Outreach and Project Specialist.<\/p>\n

Volunteers learned how to plant trees, lead groups of volunteers, and engage with their fellow volunteers while safely planting four new Palo Verde trees in the South LA area.<\/p>\n
