On October 1, KYCC Community Economic Development<\/a>‘s Small Business Development Program (SBDP<\/a>) hosted it’s first Korean language Small Business Summit. Planning for the summit began with CBB Bank<\/a> in March of 2022. This Small Business Summit is the first of its kind from the SBDP. <\/span>The purpose of the program is to educate small business owners in relevant business topics to aid in recovery from the pandemic. The Summit covered four presentation topics for small business owners including human resources, marketing, commercial lending, and SBA products.<\/span><\/p>\n

KYCC\u2019s Small Business Development program offers workshops and 1-on-1 counseling, amongst various other business services, for Korean American and Koreatown businesses. As the Small Business Administration\u2019s Community Navigator Pilot Program<\/a> partner and a member of Asian Pacific Islander Small Business Collaborative<\/a><\/span>, KYCC is funded by the SBA to provide expert guidance and advice on how to start, manage, and grow your own business.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSmall Business owners who are limited in their language capacity do not have the opportunity or the resources to easily learn about the topics we went over today. Thanks to the CBB Bank volunteers, who researched, prepared and delivered based on their expertise, our 20 small business event participants were able to gain valuable knowledge that will enhance their business practices,\u00bb says CED Small Business Development Program Coordinator, <\/span>Sabin Kim.<\/span><\/p>\n
