Descriptions / Objectives:

This program offers a Saturday respite, enrichment program for at-risk children living in central Los Angeles area. Activities also include field trips, arts & crafts, guest speakers, technology education, as well as offering referrals to in & outside of KYCC. This program will accommodate participants who work on Saturdays, because it will provide them with free services for their children for six hours of the day. It will also accommodate parents who do not work on Saturday by providing them with respite and supportive services, which are available within KYCC as well as referring them to outside agencies. Currently none of the other area agencies that serve children and youth offer supportive services for both the children and their parents, not for free, and not in an integrated fashion.
