Day to day, Ms. Jaemin Kwon oversees one of the busiest banks in Downtown Los Angeles’s Fashion District as a Branch Manager at BBCN Bank. In the evening, she volunteers her time at KYCC’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site as an income tax preparer.

Jaemin has volunteered since 2011 and has returned every tax season. “The volunteer program is rewarding,” Jaemin shares, “I can help so many families while developing an important skill, like tax preparation.”

Jaemin also added that “The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance sites have volunteer opportunities that don’t require tax preparation, like greeters, receptionists, or volunteer managers.”
