On April 22, KYCC held our Eighth Annual “FORE Children and Families” Golf Classic at the Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine. It was a sunny day with a gentle breeze, perfect for a day of golf for a good cause—KYCC raised over $87,000 for our Youth Services programs this year.

Around noon, the Laker Girls helped us kickoff the exciting 18-hole golf tournament and presented a signed Kobe Bryant basketball to be auctioned off later that evening. Players drove away in their golf carts to start the day, and some even stopped by the ninth hole to buy some ice cream sandwiches and water to provide extra support for KYCC youth programs.

The players returned from their afternoon of golf to enjoy the auction and dinner raffle at Strawberry Farms’ Big Red Barn. KYCC Executive Director Johng Ho Song returned to his annual role of auctioneer to help raise proceeds for KYCC’s programs and services.

Guests won numerous prizes, from gift cards to a 55” Vizio Ultra HDTV. They also enjoyed live acoustic performance by KOLLABORATION LA’s Peter Chung while dining. David Wuethrich from Family Services sponsor KONE Elevators and Escalators took home the signed Kobe basketball!

Special thanks to our Title Sponsor Duracoat, Youth Services Sponsor CTBC Bank, Family Services Sponsor KONE Elevators and Escalators, Community Economic Development Services Sponsor Pacific Premiere Bank, Environmental Services Sponsor Nissan and all of the other new and longtime KYCC sponsors who helped us continue to serve the Koreatown community.

We hope you will join us next year! Please visit our Special Events website for future events and sponsorship opportunities!
