KYCC is tremendously grateful to our supporters—many of whom were NEW supporters this year—for donating to our Annual Appeal 2016. Our goal for the Annual Appeal was $10,000 and we raised over $15,000! The agency intends to use 100% of the proceeds from this year’s campaign towards our Youth Services programs and services.

KYCC’s Youth Services includes academic support programs—for elementary and middle school students—that supplement school education and foster independent learning for low-income children. We also provide youth development and case management programs that provide family support, life skills, leadership experience and enrichment for young people to become active members of the community.

Our newest program STOKED is an action-sports program for middle and high schoolers hosted at our Menlo Family Center. Thanks to the support from our Annual Appeal, STOKED youth participants will enjoy field trips to skate parks, the beach and the mountains with trained mentors. Many of these children have never seen the snow or swum in the ocean, so this will be a lifelong learning experience for them!

During the summer, we will continue our Summer Day Camp for over 100 elementary and middle school students for academic workshops, enrichment activities and field trips. It’s an opportunity for 80-100 high school students to strengthen their skills as tutors and mentors.

And our Kids Town preschoolers will now be able to enjoy a WEEKLY Music and Me enrichment program.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your new and continued support of our Youth Services programs!
